Migrant mom charged for throwing baby away claims ignorance.

A Mexican migrant mom, Lucia Garcia, who was arrested for throwing her newborn boy in a trash can at a Staten Island hospital, claims she didn't know she was pregnant and thought it was just blood. Garcia was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of acting in a manner injurious to a child. She has no idea where her infant son is now and wants him back. An NYPD police officer helped find the baby, and an order of protection was issued against Garcia at a bedside arraignment. Her next court date is set for June 16.
