Finding Hidden Treasures with 'Ex' Marks the Spot!

NPR's Sunday Puzzle challenge is to name a product or company whose name ends in -ex. Last week's challenge was to name an animal in which the singular form of the female and the plural form of the male sound like synonyms. The winner was Kieran Cahalan of Weatherford, OK. This week's challenge is to name a place in Europe in nine letters and swap the third and fourth letters, then the eighth and ninth letters to get two words describing what this place famously does.
