Funky Kong Speaks Out on SNL About Super Mario Bros. Movie Snub.

Kenan Thompson appeared on "Weekend Update" on "Saturday Night Live" as Funky Kong, a character from the "Super Mario Bros. Movie" who was barely visible in the film. Thompson donned a monkey suit and complained about being cut out of the movie despite its box office success. He and anchor Colin Jost read through some of Funky Kong's "original lines" from the script, which were vulgar and inappropriate. This is not the first time "SNL" has poked fun at the popular video game franchise.
