Nintendo Plans to Expand Movie Universe with More Video Game Adaptations.

Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, has hinted at the possibility of more Nintendo franchises being adapted into movies and animations. He compared Nintendo to a "talent agency" and its characters to "entertainers". While there are no immediate plans for other adaptations, Illumination's CEO has said that this is just the beginning of their collaboration with Nintendo. Fans have already requested adaptations of Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, Star Fox, and The Legend of Zelda.
