Rare Batman debut comic expected to fetch $1.5M at auction.

A rare, unrestored copy of Detective Comics #27, which features Batman's debut, is up for auction and could sell for up to $1.5 million. The comic received a 6.0 "Fine" rating from the Certified Guaranty Company and bidding started at just $1 on March 8 through Heritage Auctions. The top bid has already reached $612,000, with the auction ending on March 30. Detective Comics #27 is considered one of the "holy grails" of comics, with only 75 graded copies in existence. The current seller is looking to purchase a multimillion-dollar home, and the sale is part of a larger comic auction.
