Zelda Movie Plans in the Works After Mario Success.
TL;DR
The success of the Super Mario Bros. Movie has raised questions about whether Nintendo will pursue a movie adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. While producer Eiji Aonuma expressed interest in the idea, CEO Shuntaro Furukawa has stated that the company isn't rushing into any new film projects based on Nintendo characters. Despite this, there have been rumors of a Zelda TV series at Netflix and fan demand for a movie adaptation. Ultimately, it may be the voices of the fans that push Nintendo to make it happen.
