Zelda Movie Plans Sparked by Mario's Box Office Success

Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Zelda series, expressed interest in a potential Zelda movie adaptation following the success of the Mario movie, but acknowledges that fan support is crucial. The Zelda franchise has been around for 35 years and Breath of the Wild is the fourth highest-selling game on the Nintendo Switch. Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario, has also teased the possibility of more Nintendo franchises being adapted into movies and animations.
