Western Digital is set to release its own storage expansion card for Xbox Series X|S consoles, with a 1TB model expected to cost $180. The WD Black C50 Expansion Card will be priced lower than Seagate's official expansion cards, which usually sell for $220. The card features an industrial aesthetic and a plug-and-play design, allowing for seamless expansion of game libraries with the same Xbox Velocity technology. While regular external hard drives can store games, Xbox Series X|S games can only be played from the console's SSD or official expansion cards.
