"Baldur's Gate 3" Surpasses "Zelda" in Reviews

Larian Studios' highly anticipated RPG, "Baldur's Gate 3," has surpassed Nintendo's "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" as the highest-scoring game of the year on Metacritic, with a score of 97/100. Despite having fewer reviews, the game's 75-100 hour playthrough time and positive user scores of 9.3/10 have positioned it as a strong contender for the Game of the Year title, challenging the previously assumed frontrunner, "Zelda." Other highly rated games this year include the "Resident Evil 4" remake, "Street Fighter 6," and "Diablo 4," with more major titles on the horizon. "Baldur's Gate 3" is currently available on PC and will be released on PlayStation 5 on September 3rd, with no confirmed Xbox release date yet.
