"Blizzard and NetEase Reconcile, Bringing Games Back to China"

Blizzard has struck a new deal with NetEase to bring its games, including World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and other titles in the Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft universes, back to the Chinese market this summer, after a previous publishing agreement expired in January 2023. The deal comes after rumors and a leaked photo surfaced, and it's seen as a result of Activision Blizzard's acquisition by Microsoft, which was approved by the Chinese government in May 2023. Additionally, Microsoft has also struck a separate deal with NetEase to explore bringing new NetEase titles to Xbox consoles and other platforms.
