D&D Playtest Overhauls Spells and Classes, Delighting Fans

The latest Playtest 8 document for D&D 5E has nerfed the overpowered spell Conjure Woodland Beings, which allowed players to summon eight Pixies capable of casting Polymorph. The spell has been completely overhauled, turning it into a defensive spell that creates a barrier of fey creatures and allows the caster to use Disengage as a Bonus Action. The new version is less game-breaking but still powerful, and its increased level makes it less accessible to players. While not guaranteed, it is likely that the changes will be implemented in future rulebooks.
