Diablo IV's Season of the Malignant patch will introduce a change to item level requirements, capping the level requirements for Sacred and Ancestral items. This means that gear found by high-level characters can be more easily shared with lower-level characters, reducing the grind needed to gear new characters. However, gear earned in the game's Eternal Realm cannot be shared with seasonal characters. The update will also introduce new powerful enemies and the ability to extract Malignant Hearts for powerful effects. The patch notes for the update will be extensive and released ahead of the season's launch on July 20.
