Dragon Quest XII Reimagined as Beyond Dreams After a Complete Reset
TL;DR
Dragon Quest XII has undergone a full development reset and is now titled Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams. A first footage reveal shows a darker tone with a protagonist plagued by visions, but no platforms or release date are announced; Akira Toriyama’s character designs and Koichi Sugiyama’s music are credited, though Toriyama has passed away, leaving questions about current involvement.
