Horizon Forbidden West's latest patch, version 1.23, contains over 40 bug fixes for the main game and its Burning Shores expansion, including quest bugs, world activities, machines, weapons, and skills. The DLC was 'review bombed' on Metacritic with negative scores as a response to an optional plot point that lets players choose to have protagonist Aloy kiss the female hero Seyka. Metacritic spoke out against the "abusive and disrespectful reviews" and said it is evolving its processes and tools to introduce stricter moderation in the coming months.
