Microsoft reduces Xbox Game Pass trial period to 14 days ahead of Starfield launch

Microsoft has reduced the duration of its $1 trials for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from one month to 14 days, just ahead of the release of Starfield. The company had previously halted the trials in March but reintroduced them last month after adjusting the pricing. The changes to the trial period coincide with recent price increases for Xbox Game Pass and the introduction of the Xbox Game Pass Core subscription. Microsoft is also discontinuing its Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan, with uncertain prospects for its return.
