A Pokemon TCG player, Makani Tran, was disqualified from the Charlotte Pokemon Regional after nervously laughing while giving his "preferred pronouns." Tran lost out on $800, two flights, and time off school. The judge reportedly took issue with how Tran replied and disqualified him. A Go Fund Me was set up to replace Makani's expenses, and it has already surpassed its goal of $1,500 by over one grand.
