Square Enix Addresses Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Remake Play Requirements

Square Enix has stated that players won't need to play through the whole of Final Fantasy 7 Remake to enjoy Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy. The company has made preparations for players who did not get a chance to play the first game, although it is unclear what those preparations entail. Some fans speculate that a short recap will give players all the necessary information from the first game. However, others are concerned about the story if playing the previous chapter isn’t necessary.
