The Cycle: Frontier Free-to-Play Shooter Shutting Down in September Due to Cheaters and Financial Viability
TL;DR
Yager Development has announced that its free-to-play multiplayer shooter, The Cycle: Frontier, will be shutting down on September 27 due to a combination of financial viability and an increasing number of cheaters. Despite efforts to improve anti-cheat measures, the game experienced a significant decrease in player base. Refunds will be processed automatically, and Yager will shift its focus to new projects. The closure of The Cycle: Frontier adds to the growing trend of game shutdowns due to various reasons, including dwindling player bases and lack of resources.
