"Quirky Vintage Swim Cap: A Dubious Eye Protection Solution"

A vintage swimming cap from 1930 doubled as an eye mask, with celluloid eyepieces to keep water out. While it may have looked silly, it served the practical purpose of protecting the eyes and ears during diving. The lower portion of the mask covered half the face and could be turned up when not needed. It could also be worn as a Halloween costume.
