A gold-plated mansion in Berkeley Hills, California, known as the "saxophone house," has gone viral on the internet due to its unique design resembling six saxophones. The three-story home features a gilded front, a streamline moderne interior, a full-floor master bedroom, numerous balconies, and a sunken lounge. The balcony railings are shaped like treble clefs. The house was reportedly designed for an amateur jazz musician and was built in 1996 after the Oakland Firestorm. The design team behind the home was husband-and-wife architects Lucia Howard and David Weingarten.
