iPhone 18 Pro Chip Leak Signals Major GPU and Memory Upgrades

An alleged solder-joint diagram of Apple’s A20 Pro chip suggests the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a two-core CPU for performance cores and four for efficiency cores, a seven-core GPU, a 96-bit LPDDR5x memory interface (up from 64-bit), and larger L2 caches (8MB for efficiency cores vs. 6MB on the A19 Pro, with 16MB on the performance cores). The wider memory bus and extra GPU cores are expected to boost graphics and memory bandwidth, and Apple is likely to debut the A20 Pro in the iPhone 18 Pro/Max and possibly a foldable iPhone next week.
