YouTube Introduces AI Chatbot and Comment Summaries for Enhanced User Experience

Google is introducing two new AI features to YouTube, currently available for testing to a limited group of users and YouTube Premium subscribers. The first feature allows comments to be sorted into themes, making it easier to navigate through lengthy comment sections. The second feature is a generative AI bot embedded in the player, allowing users to ask questions about the video they are watching without interrupting playback. These features can be accessed by opting in through youtube.com/new, but are currently only available on iOS and Android.
