Zelda 40th Direct Unveils Ocarina Remake, Movie, and World Celebrations

Nintendo's Zelda 40th Direct revealed a Switch 2–driven remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 with new gameplay and a November 5, 2026 release (digital $59.99; physical foil edition), a live‑action Zelda movie with input from Shigeru Miyamoto, a Zelda Museum with limited tickets and a Master Sword photo-op, new merchandise and a global 40th‑anniversary concert tour, and a Zelda‑themed Switch 2 hardware bundle launching October 29; a mobile app companion will let you play the Ocarina on your phone with quizzes and scores, plus an amiibo release planned for 2027.
