"8 Teens Arrested for Senseless Murder of Las Vegas Student"

Eight teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, have been arrested on murder charges in connection with the beating death of a 17-year-old boy outside his Las Vegas high school. The attack, which was prearranged, was over stolen headphones and possibly a stolen marijuana vape pen. The victim, Jonathan Lewis Jr., suffered non-survivable head trauma and died a week later. A video of the attack showed a mob of teens brutally assaulting Lewis. Police are pushing for the teens to be charged as adults, and if convicted, they could face a minimum of 25 years in prison. The incident is not currently being investigated as a hate crime.
