Alec Baldwin cleared of charges in 'Rust' shooting case.

Charges of involuntary manslaughter against Alec Baldwin in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust" have been dropped, according to his lawyers. The decision comes 2 1/2 months after New Mexico prosecutors filed charges against the actor. It is unclear if charges against co-defendant, and "Rust" armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are still in play. The case against Baldwin appeared to be fraught from the start, and legal analysts said the state was always going to have a difficult burden of proving Hutchins' death was anything more than a tragic accident.
