"Alex Murdaugh's Anticipated Guilty Plea in Financial Crime Case"

Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh pleads guilty to 22 counts of financial fraud and money laundering in federal court, marking the first time he has admitted to a crime. Serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of his wife and son, Murdaugh expressed a desire to be held accountable for stealing from his clients and to set an example for his surviving son. The guilty plea in federal court could result in additional years or decades in prison, even if his murder conviction in state court is overturned on appeal.
