"Breakthrough in Gilgo Beach Murders: Arrest Made in Decade-Old Serial Killer Case"

Investigators have made a significant breakthrough in the Gilgo Beach murder case by revisiting an old clue, leading to the arrest of 59-year-old architect Rex Heuermann. Heuermann was connected to the murders through DNA evidence found on a discarded pizza crust he ate and a hair found on one of the victims. He is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of three women and is considered the prime suspect in another woman's death. The victims, mostly young women who were sex workers, were found along a stretch of Ocean Parkway in 2010. Authorities believe more than one person may have been involved in the murders.
