"Brooklyn Activist's Murder Sparks Controversy and Social Media Backlash"

The suspect in the deadly stabbing of Brooklyn activist Ryan Carson, Brian Dowling, was arraigned and held without bail. Carson, who was stabbed to death in what appeared to be a random attack, had put himself between his girlfriend and the stabber before the fatal attack. Dowling has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
