Derek Chauvin, George Floyd's killer, pleads guilty to tax evasion.

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of killing George Floyd, pleaded guilty to two counts of tax evasion for failing to file Minnesota income taxes for two years due to "financial concerns." He was sentenced to 13 months in prison, but has already been incarcerated for longer than that and was given credit for time served. Chauvin is currently serving his sentences on a state murder conviction for killing Floyd and on a federal count of violating Floyd's civil rights.
