Detroit Man Charged with Murder in Samantha Woll Homicide

A man, Michael Jackson-Bolanos, has been charged with murder in the death of Samantha Woll, a Detroit synagogue leader. Prosecutors stated that there is no evidence to suggest that the killing was motivated by antisemitism. Jackson-Bolanos also faces charges of breaking and entering without permission and lying to a peace officer. The suspect had been under investigation for larcenies in the area of Woll's home and was released before being arrested again. Woll's death is not believed to be a hate crime, but investigators are still working to find her killer.
