Driver surrenders after intentionally hitting and injuring 6 migrant workers outside North Carolina Walmart

A 68-year-old man has turned himself in after hitting and injuring six migrant workers with his SUV outside a Walmart in North Carolina. The driver claimed that he accidentally hit the gas while parking, panicked, and left the scene. He has been charged with felony hit and run. Surveillance video shows the vehicle driving in front of a bus and crossing over a median before the incident. The injured workers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Initially described as an intentional assault, police now believe the driver did not intend to hit the workers.
