The 'ndrangheta has exploited billions of dollars in cocaine revenues to extend its criminal reach across Europe and beyond. The raids are part of a wider joint investigation involving Europol and simultaneous measures against the group across Europe. Arrest warrants were also served in Belgium, France, Portugal, Romania, and Spain.
