Ex-wife of French serial killer expresses remorse for student's murder

Monique Olivier, the ex-wife of serial killer Michel Fourniret, has apologized for the death of British student Joanna Parrish, who was kidnapped and murdered in 1990. Olivier, who is already serving a life sentence, expressed regret for not intervening in Parrish's death and stated that she "deserved to live." Fourniret, convicted for the murders of seven girls and young women, died in prison in 2021. Olivier is currently in court facing charges related to Parrish's death, as well as another murder and kidnapping. The trial is expected to continue until December 15th.
