Golden anniversary turns deadly: Couple stabbed to death.

A 41-year-old man, Christopher Ferguson, has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Massachusetts couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, along with another family member. The victims were found dead in their home in Newton after failing to arrive at church on Sunday morning. Ferguson was charged with the killing of 73-year-old Gilda “Jill” D’Amore, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and burglary. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected. The killings have rattled the small community of Newton and the Our Lady Help of Christians Church, where some of the family members were parishioners.
