Hate Crime: Palestinian Boy Killed in Illinois Stabbing

A 71-year-old landlord in Plainfield, Illinois, has been charged with a hate crime for allegedly killing a 6-year-old Palestinian American boy and stabbing his mother because they were Muslim. The victims were targeted due to their religion and the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and Israel. The suspect, Joseph Czuba, stabbed the boy 26 times and the mother had more than a dozen stab wounds. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the act and called for an end to anti-Muslim narratives. The Justice Department has opened an investigation into the case.
