ICE Cracks Down on Child Rape Suspects Amid Sanctuary City Challenges

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Boston arrested Billy Erney Buitrago-Bustos, a 42-year-old Colombian national, charged with multiple counts of rape against a minor in Massachusetts. Buitrago-Bustos, who entered the U.S. in 2016 and overstayed his visa, was initially arrested by the Great Barrington Police Department and later transferred to ERO custody after posting bail. He is set to appear before an immigration judge, as ERO continues its mission to remove noncitizens who pose threats to public safety.
