Idaho Murder Suspect Kohberger Challenges Death Penalty in Court

Bryan Kohberger, accused of murdering four University of Idaho students in 2022, is contesting the death penalty in his case. His defense argues that the death penalty is unconstitutional and that Idaho lacks the means to execute it effectively, citing a shortage of lethal injection drugs and the absence of a firing squad. Prosecutors, however, maintain that the state can carry out executions and have identified aggravating factors that justify the death penalty.
