Investigation launched after man dies from chokehold on NYC subway.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is investigating the death of a homeless man who was put into a headlock by a subway passenger. The homeless man died from "compression of neck." The incident occurred after the homeless man went on an erratic rant on a train, throwing garbage at passengers and threatening them. A 24-year-old Marine put the homeless man in a chokehold for about 15 minutes, causing him to lose consciousness. The Marine was taken into custody but released without charges. Protestors held a vigil for the homeless man, and the Manhattan DA is investigating the incident as a homicide.
