Manhunt Ends: Suspect in Fatal Shooting of New Mexico State Police Officer Captured

Jaremy Smith, the suspect wanted for fatally shooting New Mexico State Police officer Justin Hare, has been captured following a pursuit and officer-involved shooting. Smith allegedly shot Hare after flagging down passing motorists with a flat tire, then drove away in the police vehicle before abandoning it. The officer died offering help to someone he thought was in need. Smith was also driving a BMW belonging to a paramedic found dead in South Carolina.
