Federal prosecutors in Massachusetts seized over 220 pounds of drugs, including heart-shaped pills resembling Valentine's Day candies, in one of the largest single-location drug seizures in New England history. The drugs were found in the basement of a multi-family home where families with children were living. The operation's ringleader, Emilio Garcia, along with two others, Sebastien Bejin and Deiby Felix, are charged with distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine. The seizure included tens of thousands of counterfeit Adderall pills believed to contain methamphetamine, hundreds of thousands of counterfeit Percocet pills believed to contain fentanyl, firearms, and packaging materials. Investigators were concerned that the heart-shaped pills could be marketed to teenagers and mistaken for candies, posing a risk in controlled environments like schools.
