Peter Nygard, Fashion Mogul, Convicted of Multiple Sexual Assaults

Former fashion mogul Peter Nygard has been found guilty of sexual assault by a Canadian jury after a six-week trial. Prosecutors accused Nygard, 82, of using his "status" to assault five women between the late 1980s and 2005. Nygard denied the charges, while his defense team claimed the victims were seeking financial gain. He was found not guilty on one count of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement. Nygard's son hailed the verdict as a victory for the victims, and sentencing will be set for November 21. Nygard still faces another trial in Montreal and charges in Winnipeg, as well as extradition to the US.
