Philadelphia Mass Shooting Leaves Five Dead, Suspect in Custody

A mass shooting in southwest Philadelphia left five people dead and several others injured. The shooting appeared to be random, with no connection between the victims and the gunman. The suspect, a 40-year-old Black male, was apprehended by police after a pursuit. He was found wearing a bullet-proof vest and carrying an AR-15-style rifle, handgun, and additional ammunition. Two of the injured victims, including a 2-year-old and a 13-year-old, are in stable condition. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
