Proud Boys Leaders Receive Lengthy Sentences for Capitol Attack

Two more members of the far-right Proud Boys are set to be sentenced for their involvement in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Dominic Pezzola, who was acquitted of seditious conspiracy but convicted of other felonies, and Ethan Nordean, a leader of the group convicted of seditious conspiracy, will face sentencing. The sentencing comes after two former Proud Boys leaders were ordered to serve 17 and 15 years in prison. The government is seeking a 20-year term for Pezzola and a 27-year term for Nordean. Over 1,100 people have been arrested in connection with the Capitol assault, with more than 630 pleading guilty and at least 110 convicted at trial.
