Relative of Uvalde shooter apprehended for school shooting threat: Authorities

The cousin of the Uvalde school shooter has been arrested for allegedly threatening to commit a school shooting. The 17-year-old suspect, who lives near an elementary school, is accused of making terroristic threats to shoot his sister and "shoot the school." The mother reported the incident to the police, stating that her son was intoxicated at the time. The suspect's sister provided a recorded statement confirming the threats. The suspect has been charged with felony and misdemeanor terroristic threats. He denies making any threats. The Uvalde shooting, in which the suspect's cousin killed 19 children and two adults, is the second-deadliest shooting at a U.S. elementary, middle, or high school.
