Teen Rescued from Kidnapper with 'Help Me' Sign

A Texas man, Steven Robert Sablan, has been indicted for kidnapping a 13-year-old girl at gunpoint in San Antonio and driving her to Los Angeles, where she managed to escape by writing "help me" on a piece of paper. Sablan has been charged with kidnapping and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. He sexually assaulted the girl multiple times during the two-day drive. Authorities found a "help me" sign, handcuffs, and a BB gun in his vehicle. If convicted, Sablan may face life in prison.
