Threats against judges in Trump-related cases raise concerns

Abigail Jo Shry, a Texas woman, has been charged with making death threats against the federal judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's criminal case in Washington, DC. Shry left a voicemail message threatening to kill anyone who went after Trump and used racist language against the judge, who is Black. She is charged with transmitting threats and is being held in detention pending trial. Shry also made threats against Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Democrats in Washington, D.C., and the LGBTQ community. Security for the judge has been increased.
