"Tragedy Strikes North Texas Outlet Mall in Deadly Mass Shooting"

Mauricio Garcia, the gunman who killed eight people and wounded at least seven others at a Texas outlet mall, was killed on scene by an Allen police officer. Investigators are considering whether he may have been driven by right-wing extremism, as he had an extensive social media presence with neo-Nazi and White supremacist-related posts. Garcia had worked for at least three security companies and had undergone hours of firearms proficiency training in recent years. He was approved to work as a security guard in Texas from April 2016 until April 2020, when his license expired.
