Tucson hate-crime probe opened after deadly shooting outside LGBTQ bar

Two men were killed and a suspect wounded outside Venture-N, a Tucson gay bar, in a shooting police are investigating as a hate crime. The 44-year-old suspect, Ousman Ceesay, later died in hospital and was reported to have carried a note listing LGBTQ‑associated businesses. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public, and community leaders and officials expressed sorrow as police increased patrols around LGBTQ venues and organized memorials for the victims.
