Amazon Axes 'The Peripheral' Season 2 Amid Strikes
TL;DR
Amazon Prime Video has canceled the second and final season of the comedy-drama series "A League of Their Own," co-created and starring Abbi Jacobson. The cancellation is believed to be due to the ongoing strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA, which have caused production delays and created gaps between seasons. The show, which premiered last summer, had received an order for an abbreviated four-episode second season but could not start filming before 2024. The cancellation will leave fans without closure and incur additional expenses for the show.
