"HBO Films Set to Bring George Santos' Story to the Big Screen"

HBO Films is developing a movie based on Mark Chiusano's book, "The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos," which explores the unprecedented congressional race in Long Island that led to Santos being elected to Congress. The film, described as a forensic and darkly comic look at the race, will be written by Mike Makowsky and directed by Frank Rich. Santos, who recently became the first U.S. House member to be expelled in over 20 years, has faced numerous scandals and federal charges.
